Good And Evil And Mat Yoyo
Due to some ‘office politics’ here, i was brought into the mood for reflection.
I do wonder whether there are people who intentionally wants to do evil to others. It’s not that i think the world is all-good. Perhaps it’s more about trying to rationalise why some people ‘have the heart’ to hurt others. ok,ok, i’m not saying i’ve not hurt people… i surely did in cases where it’s unintentional or reactionary e.g. talking back to my mom, giving my hubby the cold treatment.
Basically, the point of my thought is that could one ‘have the heart’ to plan and execute an evil plan for one’s selfish gain? In addition to that, one is in a ‘caring’ profession?
Or is it a case of misunderstanding of intentions? Inability to communicate clearly and nicely to another?
I don’t know.. at this point, i could only pity the party affected. Pray for the best that she finds a job that is much better for her and is more appreciative of the efforts that she puts in.
On a brighter note, it is good to know the ‘bengkelians’ are rounding up people. Bestnya! I believe it’s not abt ‘membangkitkan’ zaman kegemilangan mat yoyo.. the past will remain a sweet reminisce, but it’s abt catching up with old friends and networking… and probably something more?
As i was watching Barney and my daughter’s ability to memorise the intonations (as she can’t speak yet) and the actions of the characters, despite her being 20 mths, I was wondering that wouldn’t it be good if we have a ‘melayu barney’. As in, to have our children learn malay and love malay, what could be the best thing but to show songs and plays. Currently, krayon is just ‘fair’ to me.
Of course, the nearest to having a mascot is the mat yoyo cats. Maybe they should be revived… in fact, kalau business minded, once the cats gain popularity, mat yoyo merchandises can be sold in stores. Yelah, kalau dulu kan, exclusive untuk pemenang penonton di rumah.
Haha, idea ada.. duit tada..

First thing that comes to my mind: Sinetron Indonesia! Intentionally doing evil? Their dramas are so full of that. Well, where would they have gotten such ideas if they are not happening in reality? If they happen in Indonesia, they can happen in Singapore…Then again, we have to husnuzon..perhaps its a misunderstanding of intentions like you said…perhaps…perhaps…perhaps…one thing for sure, we gotta teach our children to be more selfless and less individualistic…syaithan makes it so easy to get selfish these days!

Hmm…people really have lots of time in their hands to conjure up evil plans? Hmm..
Must be great fun meeting old pals! I remember those times when my whole family went to the Mat Yoyo concert @ Sentosa. Thanks to my granduncle (Samri Badi?) who gave free tix!
Btw, sharifah just gave birth to a baby boy. Before you ask, I’m still unmarried! LOL!

:):) Yeah, I am looking for malay resources too, be it books or videos.. cos they are truly lacking. So while there are so many English board books to read to Iffah, I do not seem to have found Malay board books
But its really interesting cos i think they can understand both. On one hand, Iffah will use mostly English for nouns- like cat, dog, big shark, etc cos they are shorter and easier ( and many english picture books ), but she will still know the malay ones, just that she doesn’t say them.. but on the other hand, she uses malay for more immediate n everyday communication - like gatal when she feels itchy or takde, nak, tak nak etc cos spoken Malay is more often used.
I really hope that our kids will be effectively bilingual too!

Azlina, should i say effectively trilingual?? Arabic.. arabic, oh when will I be able to speak it and increase my knowledge through it??? sigh..
My daughter belum pandai cakap lagi.. she only can pronounce words starting with B.. bubble, baby, ball, book.. etc.. but not Barney. It will go AAA..yi… i have no idea why!!?? haha.

Umm Aisyah, u’re rite ah.. kalau takde inspirasi from real life, takkan ada idea nak buat sinetron. But i guess, my questioned is more defined towards ppl in the caring profession.. like teachers, nurses, counsellors. I mean, can a caring heart actually conjure up evil plan? I’m just husnuzoning down here.. that they wouldn’t. Probably it’s a case of misunderstood intentions.
